Its the little things...

This week I've been trying to change my perspective on my life and how I've been living it. I know, how deep of me. haha. I know its easy to just let the downs in my life beat me up but I done with it. I've been doing a couple of small things to be happier. If you're in a similar situation or just want to do little things that make you happier hope this post helps. :)

1.) I've taking up some light exercise. I know it sounds silly for it to make me happy but its really nice when you dim the lights, light some candles, play some chill music and just stretch out your body for 15 minutes.

2.) Usually when I'm angry I tend to be cranky and bitchy and when you're not happy its like being a bitch is the go to way. But when you're not so nice to someone that's how they are going to treat you and that pretty much sends you straight down to the dumps. So, I'm trying to get in touch with my old self and be a cheerful little butterfly again. So far so good ;)

3.) Like everyone on the planet I take things out on the people closest to me and most importantly, the ones I love. So I've been kinder to my family and friends and I'm really proud of myself for this one.

4.) I've been working on my language. Cursing comes so naturally to me that its gotten pretty bad. I find cursing humorous but when things start to heated up its like curse words are all I have in my back pocket, which is honestly super pathetic of me. But anyway I want to have more respect for myself  because that's where it all starts, right?

5.) The final one that I've been doing are things that I enjoy doing because I just do. It sounds weird but it's pretty simple really, just because you're not in a complete state of full-time happiness doesn't mean that you cant have a little piece of it either. Do something you love doing just because.

I really hope that at-least one person reads this and I've helped you in the simplest way.

Sephora Newbie

My first ever Sephora purchase
My bottom lip has the watermelon lip tint while my top lip has nothing .

I know, I know. I'm super late. I promise I haven't been living under a rock for four years not knowing what the naked pallet was. I did, I just never really cared for makeup that much when it first came out. In my defense I was only about 13-14 when it came out.
But now its like every time I step into Sephora I just gravitate towards the Urban Decay section.
They're all really gorgeous, which is why I stood in Sephora like a creep for an hour trying to pick which one would be best for my skin tone. I eventually settled on the Naked 2 because it wasn't too dark and wasn't pink. Don't get me wrong I like pink but just not for everyday makeup wear.
I also picked up a Bite Beauty Lip Tint in the shade Watermelon. This has been my everyday lip product and I have been loving it! It's been one of my most loved item so far. It tints my lips just a slight bit pink and its super moisturizing. I kinda want to try out the other tints. *Mischievous smile*

Sick Day Essentials

I've had the cold for about a week now and I think its almost done with me. I've been feeling a lot better now and I wanted to share some of my sick day essentials that helped me fight off my nasty cold.

The first one is tea! I love the honey and lemon combo. Its slightly tart, slightly sweet and so so soothing.

Chicken noodle soup, Chicken noodle soup with the soda on the side. I love the Lipton instant ones with extra pasta or maybe some potatoes.  So yummyy!!

Next up is cough drops! I always get the ones that taste like candy and not the ones that are so strong that they make you want to cry. But this weekend I picked up the Ricola Lemon Mint ones and I'm loving them. They're not super strong and still taste really good.

Number Four, lip balm and face cream!  Keep yourself hydrated and moisturized when you're sick. You'll feel a whole lot better!

Sweets, sweets, and more sweets! I know this one probably isn't good for you and you probably shouldn't do it. But doesn't a good pumpkin cupcake with maple cinnamon frosting make your soul feel better. (P.s. I got the recipe from this lovely blog and its amazing!)

The last one is down time. And I mean lots and lots and LOTS of down time. My favorite down time activities are sleeping, reading, and watching YouTube. Recently I saw the trailer for the Best Of Me, so I decided to reread the book and can I just say, "Damn, Dawson".

That's it for my sick day essentials and if you're sick I hope you feel way better soon!

My five favorite things about Fall

To me Fall is the beginning of all things amazing. It starts getting colder and fairy lights start popping up everywhere. It's so cute and festive! So to kick off the Fall spirit here are my 5 favorite things about Fall.

1.) Hot drinks- Who doesn't freakin' love a good ole hot cocoa? Some whip, some marsh, some mellow, ya feel? haha.

2.)Sweater and leggings- There' s nothing better than wearing clothes with a little wiggle room.

3.)The color Burgundy- Yes, just yes. Khloe Kardashian and burgandy lips anyone?

4.)Rain- I know this is a weird one but I love the sound and smell of rain. I could just stay in my bed all day and i'll be okay because of the rain.

5.)SWEETS!- Cookies, chocolate, and candy GALOREEE!! Need I say more.

🍂 What are some of your Fall favorites? 🍂

Viva La Juicy

As a kid I ALWAYS wanted a juicy couture bag or keychain or anything. I was obsessed. I love the fluffy rectangular bags with the massive diamond ring on the side that I never got. Which actually worked out well cause I grew out of it... or so I thought.

I was at Costco getting my overwhelmingly massive amounts of food for practically the rest of the year when I spotted the Viva La Juicy fragrance. I stopped did a double take and stood there for 10 minutes trying to figure out what it was doing in a Costco. ( If I would have gotten it on film it would have been hilarious.)

I grabbed it, walked away, dropped it in my cart, and we headed for checkout. Next thing you know, the fire alarms go off and we all have to evacuate because a lady decided to smoke in the bathroom. What a genius, I swear. Anyway, about an hour later I break open the plastic and sniff the floral-y candy goodness to my hearts content.

When I mean to my hearts content, I mean that I still keep it in the packaging and carry it in my bag. So whenever I'm grumpy I whip it out and smell it, or even weirder I'll shove my nose into my sweater and sniff it. I pretty much embarrass everyone around me. haha

So, I wasn't going to do a post on this because I didn't feel it to be super special. I just thought it was another Aveeno daily moisturizer. Plus, I wasn't super excited when I got it so I just tossed it into my bag and moved on with my day.
Boy, was I wrong. Whenever my face was just gross and dry it was there in my bag. It's that 'I never knew I needed it until I had it' kinda thing. And I really didn't know I needed it until I had it. After using it for a month my skin is super soft all the time and doesn't dry out as easily.
Let's be honest, it's from Aveeno. Aveeno has been my fragrance free holy grail since birth. I don't know why I doubted it. Silly me.
