Goodbye Summer

Yesterday was the last Sunday of my summer and I didn't want to do the usual lounging around the house. I wanted to stay home and just relax but I knew I would have regretted it if I didn't do something. After 4 hours of decision making we decided to keep it local. A trip to the ever-so-famous Target, Trader Joe's, a little dash of Lowe's, and a crab feast to end the day.

Highlights of the evening:

Me: * Looking at a bowl with Pokemon that says "Pocket Monsters" on it.* OMG! Did you know that Pokemon is an abbreviation for Pocket Monster.
Dad: Yea, everyone did.
Me:  Wait really?
Dad : Yea, you're like ten years late.

Dad: Crabs are the ant of the sea.
Me: Aren't crabs the ant of the sea just like the boogers are the poop of the face?
Dad: *turns to me with this weird look and we both start laughing

I think this dinner was somehow in my destiny because I drew this nautical theme thing just a day before the dinner.

My drink was glorious. It was a blackberry lime spritzer!

DIY Jewelry Holder and Bloggers Hardships

You know those times when you find the most random and weirdest things hidden in your basement ? Yeah, that was me last weekend. I found some old plates, some dust, some Christmas stuff, and some stuff you just want to pretend you never saw. I love those stuff, don't you?
Anyway I took those plates and wash them and headed off to the Ikea and Home Depot. where I picked up a little cup, saucer, and a dowel rod and got crackin'.

First things first, I'm the realest. Nope sorry, just wanted to get that out. The first thing is to paint them. I used some Martha Stewart glass paint and then let them dry for about a day. After that I just glued everything. Plate, stick, plate, stick, plate, cup. I let it dry and then finito!

Come today I wake up its all in one piece and I want to take a picture with the sunlight. I pick it up and head outdoors for the right angle of light to hit it. Low and behold the right spot on a slanted table. *places it down steadily and picks up camera* CRACK. Fann-tastic! Luckily only the top popped off and I just had to glue it back on. Oh, but do you a good friend of mine called gravity, yeah he's an ass.

The Ultimate Love

I have an upcoming hair appointment that has been long overdue, somewhat like a year and a half over due. I can already foresee what I am going to get : 6 inches off, angles, layers, fringe a little passed my eyes. The same old boring routine.

I want to jump out of my comfort zone and get something a wee bit different but I don't know what yet but I did find some Hairspiration to help me take the big leap.

I mean look for yourselves...

Who is your hairspiration?

By the way if you follow me on Bloglovin', ( https://www.bloglovin.com/alexandra562.) I have two blogs written but they are the same. I just changed the name a while back and never realized that it didn't change everything else when I did.

Of course, all the pictures I used are not mine and all the right are reserved.

Updated Product Review

Yesterday I tried out the Moon Valley Organics Body Bar and I'm quite pleased with it. It has a lot of little bits and pieces of oatmeal throughout which I love. It feels like it's scrubbing the dirt and oil off my skin. Another plus is that when I got out of the shower my skin felt nice and moisturized.
The only downside about it is the smell. I'm not the biggest fan of the sage-y smell. It isn't super strong, so it doesn't linger on for too long  but if you don't mind the smell I totally recommend it to you.

Out and About

Over the weekend I went to an adorable little town in jersey called Westfield. The main reason for the visit was, of course, for sweets. I popped into a shop called Carlo's bakery. This was my second time at one of his locations and honestly this one was so much better, only for the fact that their was no line. It was glorious. The bakery smelt so good I didn't want to leave. They probably thought I was a creep. Haha.

Freaking glorious!

I couldn't wait so I ate in the car like a civilized women that I am. Hahaha. I couldn't even type that with a straight face.

We stopped by a spice store and picked up some goodies as well.

Seriously the cocoa powder smells like oreos and cake.

PRODUCT REVIEW

A friend of my moms picked this up for me on one of her trips and I thought it was interesting since I haven't heard of this brand before. I'm actually really excited to try it out mainly because it's oatmeal.
I was actually kind of disappointed because it didn't smell like oatmeal. It smelt more like sage but I'm hoping that it will have those wondrous oatmeal powers. Does anyone else love when they put actual pieces of oatmeal in your soap bar? I think I'm just strange.

I haven't tried it out yet but I'll will be posting a follow up soon. I must say though that the packaging is super cute. Is anyone a sucker for packaging or is it just me?
