How to make Homemade Brown Sugah!
(Yes, the "h" is intentional. The New Yorker in me is oh so proud.)

My last post was about a peach cobbler I had made over the weekend. And oh man, that was so good. But one problem I had when I was gathering the ingredients was that I was missing brown sugar. I really didn't want to leave it out because the molasses adds a slight flavor to it, so leaving it out wasn't an option for me.

I did remember that I had molasses and that brown sugar was just molasses and white sugar. So I headed to my computer and looked up the portions and low and behold, there it was!

Its actually was easier  than I though it would be and it was kind of relaxing mixing the two together. So if you're ever in the same brown sugar crisis as I was at 10 pm all you have to do is mix

1 Tablespoon of Molasses with 1 Cup of white sugar until you get something that looks like...

Its brown sugah!!
I was so proud of it if you couldn't tell. haha

Whoop whoop!

Short story shorter...

My peach cobbler was saved and I no longer need to buy brown sugar. What a great day that was.

PSSTT: Don't be alarmed, the orangish thing in the top left corner is the peach skins from the peach cobbler.

Peach Cobbler!

Every time summer rolls around, I'm always saying I'm finally gunna make peach cobbler. "I'm going to do it! This is the summer!" Next thing you know I head to the store, pick some awesome looking peaches, and then by the next day they're all gone. I swear peaches have this gravitation pull to them. But, finally this weekend I set some aside and hid them in the fruit bowl. Their gravitational pull was weakened! SUCCESS!

So, I looked up a recipe online, which I will link at the bottom. Unlike most recipes I actually followed this one. I did cut the amount by four because I was only making it for four people and didn't need so much. However, I really wish I did make more cause it was so damn good. I think I want to try out different fruit cobblers and different methods while its summer and fruits are still so freakin' good.

What summer desserts have you made so far? :)

The recipe link :

Look at all those peach juices!!! Ahh!

This was the mixture for the topping.

Ugh, imagine vanilla gelato on top!

Re-potting my succulents!

I picked up some succulents on a trip to Lowe's. I always find it weird that you can buy big man tools and cute little plants in the same place. I settled for cute little plants and picked up three succulents, which I'm totally regretting not getting way more. I think they're so cute, mini, and super easy to take care of. I don't even know when was last time I watered them... on that note I prooobbbaaably should water them like now. One sec, be right back. *Gets up and waters plants*

So as I was saying, as I headed home with my baby succulents, I decided that I wanted to repot them into a giant fish bowl like thing.

I think that the hardest thing was trying to stand them up straight in the bowl with such a tiny hole and two big hands. Some pieces fell off and some just couldn't hold themselves up and that's why there's a rubber band around one of them. haha. I will take it off once I put in more dirt and rocks, and it grows a little bit. But other than that I love it! Its like a little terrarium!

this one is called crassula rupestris.

This one didnt come with a tag

this one is called sedeveria 'jet beads'

This one is so delicate that when I was putting them into the bowl a lot of the bead fell out but no worries. Its still alive and well.

Dark Chocolate S'mores Bar!

If you're like me and want to have s'mores all the time but cant start a fire for her life then this the recipe for youuuu!!!
What a intro that was. haha. In my mind that sounds super similar to something on an infomercial. Which by the way, I happen to love. Lame, I know. But these bars are really simple. You'll need everything that a regular campfire s'mores will need. Graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. I mean what else does one need in life.
I melted all the chocolate in the microwave and then let it cool. I would like to say that I then prepped all my other ingredient but no, I just stirred it and drizzled it for 5 minutes.
But once I was done playing with the chocolate, I got my marshmallows, crackers, and my little cutting board ready.

I cut my big marshmallows into eight little ones to make them bite size. You can get the little ones but I love the big ones.

Next, crush up the graham crackers. I broke some into little chunks and some into cracker dust.

Then all you gotta do is throw everything into a bowl and stir it all together.

Then put the mixture on a plate or paper to set and throw what you didn't put in the chocolate on top cause it looks super pretty.

I even added some extra milk chocolate on the top. I put the melted milk chocolate into some plastic wrap and poked a hole into it. Can we just look how rachet that is. LMAO! Omg, I cant.

It worked though!!

What I do when Im bored...
Since its summer and I luckily can do whatever it is that I want, I do get bored some days. So one day I went looking for this 'watercolor for kids' thing that my mom had gotten for my cousin which I had stole awhile ago. *insert cheeky grin here* But in all fairness my cousin would have hated it. So anywayyyy, I popped it open and went at it.
So to begin I had this wonton divider in my house and I cut it just to have six sections, squirted some paint, and poured some water into the containers.

The long black and gold stick is the black ink. For some reason that I do not know, they have made that one way cooler than the other colors. I mean its got a golden dragon on it, like c'mon.
What I did with it was poured some water into the little black shallow dish and rubbed the stick in a circular motion and tadaaa, you have black ink! Its a lot more fun than it sounds. haha

That brown color just looks like straight up poop. haha
The pack did come with paper, but I thought it would be cool to do some watercolor art on this notebook that I purchased for Muji. Which totally worked but it looked like really bad. No really, it was pretty bad. So when all else fails, I took a previous painting I had done and taped it to the book. Loopholes!
What do you like to do when you're bored?
